Once again the only active tournament is Meltdown League but this week marks the halfway point and some very exciting developments. I am very excited to repeat in this article that upon the halfway point RHacker93 announced that Meltdown League aims to be a hub for Duelyst Competitive events branching outside of the League tournament and hopefully building to something big over time to fill the void that other tournaments left behind and to prove to CPG and BAMCO that we are worth investing time and money into.
Top Individual Performers
This week we had Wanderer of any type at 16.2% and the 2 major Wanderer archetypes making up 10.2%. Wanderer actually loses to Combo/Tempo Ragnora which came in at 12.2%. Titan, which was the dominant competitor to Wanderer last week came in at 4% overall with only 2 people running it. Once again showcasing that there are many strong decks that rotate in and out of favour regardless of their strength but Wanderer stays the constant force that people aim to beat and that the majority of our top-ranked players are running.
What do I think will be popular? Impossible to tell but in my opinion, the meta is shaping up to be a mix of Wanderer-anything, Tempo Ziran, Titan Lyonar, Fault Zirix and, Tempo Ragnora. A deck to keep your eyes on is the various forms of Faie floating around that are being run by some high-level players with good results such as the midrange Faie brought by Alphacentury, the Wall Faie brought by Mighty Baloon, the Burn Faie brought by Icicle, and Linkarl who has been representing Wanderer Faie for a few weeks now.
